Anna Wilson Richards
As a member of the firm’s Commercial Transactions and Real Estate practice groups, Ms. Richards handles a variety of business transactions, including purchases, sales and leasing of real property; purchases and sales of businesses; and mortgage loan transactions. Ms. Richards also represents lenders in mortgage loan foreclosures and workouts.
Ms. Richards has experience forming various types of business entities and represents businesses in their day-to-day operations. She also has experience representing not-for-profit corporations including local public authorities in all matters, including formation, applications for tax exempt status, mergers, property sales and dissolutions. In addition, Ms. Richards is actively involved with commercial litigation matters on behalf of the firm’s business and municipal clients, including contract disputes, evictions and eminent domain proceedings.
While in law school, Ms. Richards worked as a legal intern for the Honorable George H. Lowe, United States Magistrate Judge for the Northern District of New York. She also interned with the United States Attorney’s Office. Ms. Richards served as Business Editor of the Syracuse Law Review and worked as a teaching assistant.
Ms. Richards currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Learning Disabilities Association of Central New York and as an attorney volunteer for the Tel-Law program offered by the Volunteer Lawyers Project of Onondaga County.
