Mr. Thoman is a member of the firm’s Business Restructuring and Bankruptcy practice group as well as the Commercial Transactions practice group. He has represented corporate debtors as well as commercial creditors and lessors in bankruptcy proceedings throughout the country. Mr. Thoman also works with clients on restructuring of debt through out of court workouts.
While a law student at the University of Buffalo, Mr. Thoman was a recipient of the Prof. Thomas E. Headrick Award in Corporate Finance and served as Business Editor of the Buffalo Human Rights Law Review.
As a participant in the C.A.R.E. program, Mr. Thoman educates high school seniors on the risks of credit card debt and bankruptcy. He is President of the Board of Directors of Adapt, CNY, Inc., a non-profit organization committed to the economic redevelopment of the City of Syracuse. Mr. Thoman also serves as a Trustee on the Board of the Central New York Bankruptcy Bar Association. In 2008, Mr. Thoman was named to the Greater Syracuse 40 Under 40 List of Professionals.
